This quaint and charming house was originally built back in the 1970's by Father Robert Hegenbarth (Father Bob), a close friend of the Schauf Family. Father Bob had approached the family about building a house that he could retreat to and engage in his hobbies of woodworking, gardening and raising pheasants. This home was a labor of love, designed and built by his own hands over a span of 10 years. He eventually retired from the priesthood and was able to permanently settle in to his "forever home" where he lived the remainder of his life.
Tucked away in the peaceful landscape of the woods and gardens, his home is now being offered to others to enjoy just as Father Bob did throughout the years. This home, currently, has a capacity to hold 8-10 people. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (one on each floor), a fully furnished kitchen, 2 cozy family rooms and a wrap around porch that overlooks the ponds 20 feet away as well as the beauty of the countryside that hugs the home.
These pictures are only a glimpse of its unique style and coziness and does not reflect its intimate personality. It truly is the perfect setting for making memories with those you love. The peacefulness of your stay will help you “cherish the experience" for years to come.
